This was a tough category. We thought there were a lot of entries that had very nice pictures scattered throughout with mediocre pictures in between. Most of the entries would have placed higher if the photographers had taken out a few of the weaker pictures.
Overall we thought that Blog 88:88 had a nice, cohesive street style of shooting that fit well into this category. We thought Will Duncan’s work also was strong for the same reasons.
The Mexican pictures generally had a nice feel for light and color which the judges liked, but in terms of content and style they did not hold up to the other two.
