1st Place: An underwater speaker guides the synchro club as they move through the water and appear to effortlessly defy gravity as they practice an aerial lift. "Our sport gets a bad wrap sometimes," says coach Linai Vaz DeNegri. "I think it is because art is not valued as much in athletics. We have a unique combination of art and athletics here. I like to compare it to figures skating, while upside down while not breathing."
