How Short a Life? - The worlds biggest killer, Malaria. The Child is bathed before being placed in the coffin. The burial of the eight month old child of an artisanal goldminer in Mungwalu North Eastern Congo. The child died of anaemia brought on by Malaria. Most of the miners are combatants who have controlled mineral rich areas and are profiting from their exploitation. Most of the Gold mined in this region leaves DRC illegally and is sent to Uganda.
