The car of racer Don Lampus, Jr., of Dallas, explodes in a spectacular fireball, as the New York Yankees car and driver Mike Dunn speeds by him in the quarter finals of the Top Fuel Dragster Competition at the O'Reilly Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis. Lampus' fuel line disconnected spraying Nitro fuel onto the engine and causing the fire. No one was hurt in the incident.
