El Salar Salt flats - Early morning sunrise over the Salar de Uyuni. This is the highest and largest salt lake in the world at an altitude of 3650 m and twice as big as the Great Salt Lake in the USA. Floods during 2001 winter prevented the Salar from drying up during the summer of 2001.
